2 convicted in $2.9 million wire fraud scheme

Two men have been convincted by a federal jury in Wilmington, Delaware   of operating a $2.9 million wire fraud scheme targeting a Delaware unit of Citigroup.

BRAC Update - Merritt to develop office complex in Aberdeen

Merritt Properties has closed on the purchase of a 35.64-acre site at 635-660 McHenry Road in Aberdeen, Maryland. Merritt plans to develop the property, which is less than two miles from Aberdeen Proving Ground, for Class A office space and retail amenities in the area surrounding the base.

Artist recognized for meritorious service to Delaware

At a private gathering with family and friends in late August, Jack Lewis was presented with the Order of the First State for his accomplishments as an artist and for his contributions to the State of Delaware over nearly three-quarters of a century. The Order of the First State awarded to Lewis by Governor Jack Markell is the highest honor for meritorious service the governor can grant.

GE company teams up with Newark-based developers of vaccine technology

Fraunhofer USA Center for Molecular Biotechnology and GE Healthcare, a unit of General Electric, announced an agreement to jointly develop and globally market manufacturing solutions for biopharmaceuticals and vaccines based upon their respective proprietary technologies. Financial terms are not being disclosed.
