Growing up in Cecil County as the sons of national bluegrass legends Ola Belle and Ralph Reed Sr. had its advantages, and disadvantages.
Brothers Ralph Jr. – known better as Bud – and Dave Reed learned to play the guitar and other instruments easily, by watching their parents. That was the advantage.
