Police catch last allegedly unregistered offender at traffic stop

An Elkton man who failed to register as a convicted sex offender is back in custody after spending 15 months on the lam, according to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office.
The accused, Joel Leroy Sharpe, 41, formerly of the 1100 block of Singerly Road, remained in the Cecil County Detention Center on Monday on no bond, a jail spokesman reported.
