The roar was loud and long. A stadium of some 15,000 Redskins fans applauded, screamed and waved signs. “We love you Art” could be heard throughout the stadium before a chant of “It’s about time!” broke out to the right of the stage.
Art Monk exists as one of Washington’s most beloved Redskins, and the longer he was denied access to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the more fans pushed.
