Justin Holcombe didn’t exactly plan on enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating from Rising Sun High at the beginning of the decade. An argument one day with his beloved grandmother, however, changed all that.
“I was going through some tough times and (we) got into an argument and she started crying,” Holcombe said. “She said, ‘I wish you would just go into the military like your grandfather did. It’d be good for you.’ ”
