Planning commission approves zoning ban on auto race tracks

The county planning commission Monday evening unanimously approved a change to a county zoning law that would bar automobile race tracks from rural subdivisions.

Under the amendment, the facilities would be banned in southern agricultural areas but will still be allowed on northern farmland.
